Are you wondering what masterminding is and what it can mean for your life and business?

This concept actually is not new.

Masterminding has been around for over 70 years, and the concept is still extremely powerful.

Every successful person, great team, and organization was founded by using this principle from “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill.

In Think and Grow Rich written back in 1937, Napoleon Hill described the mastermind concept as: “The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.”

What is a mastermind? A mastermind is the unification of two or more minds towards a common purpose, vision or goal.

Masterminding is about supporting members of a community of like-minded people who share a common interest. It is giving feedback, creating a supportive network, brainstorming for solutions, and leveraging other people’s experiences, knowledge and skills.

As stated on the Mastermind Clubs (www.mastermindclubs.com) website, “All of the greatest self-made millionaires and billionaires throughout history have employed the Mastermind Principle.” Masterminding is “for business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, senior executives, inventors, marketing directors and managers, all for the purpose of Masterminding – Using a ‘Think Tank’ to creatively solve business challenges.” You should at least be seriously considering becoming an entrepreneur. Additionally, masterminding has other benefits.

According to author, Karyn Greenstreet (www.passionforbusiness.com/articles/mastermind-group.htm, in How to Create and Run a Mastermind Group “you’ll gain tremendous insights, which can improve your business and personal life…”

–You get feedback and gain confidence
–Members will share their skill and experience
–You will make progress toward your business and personal goals
–You will be part of a supportive network of like-minded people

Mastermind members empower and assist each other by giving feedback, brainstorming ideas, and keeping each other on track. It is a community of supportive colleagues who are highly-motivated and willing to ask and give help and support. Being part of a mastermind means you don’t have to figure things out on your own.

A mastermind helps you look at your problems and opportunities from another person’s point of view. Ideas will come from people with different backgrounds. These will probably not be ideas that you would have come up with yourself. This concept helps you think in different ways.

Top speakers, business leaders and authors say masterminding gave them the courage and confidence to succeed. By joining a mastermind, you can apply the mastermind principle to your business, too.
