Web 2.0 Strategies – Social Media Marketing
I’m going to do something a little different this week.
In recent issues, I’ve written about blogging tips, tricks and techniques. Every blog needs traffic. So, this week, we’ll start talking about traffic generation strategies and evaluating how effective some of these strategies are as I try them myself. I’ll try to focus on Web 2.0 traffic strategies, but some will be Google-related like the…
“Perpetual Traffic Formula”
Did you get a chance to check out the free stuff I talked about in those posts? It’s too late to sign up for the product itself, but I think you can still get the freebies. Here are the links:
I’ll share my progress as I start using the Perpetual Traffic Formula with you next week.
Also, let me know if you have any questions– Ask JC.

Personal Growth and Development
This week’s topic is…
Are you a planner?
I tend to plan certain areas of my life, but sometimes plans don’t go as “planned”. To avoid getting frustrated, I try to be flexible while being focused.
If you are a planner like me, here are some tips for staying focused when plans keeps changing from a recent article I read by Chrissy Scivicque.
As Chrissy puts it, “These days you have to be able to ‘go with the flow.’ You can’t let fluctuating plans throw you into a tizzy.” Here is my summary of her tips (but please read her article for more detail):
1. Allow yourself a set amount of time to express your annoyance with fluctuations. Then get focused again.
2. Find a reason why the new plan or revision is better than the original plan, and focus on that.
|
3. Remind yourself that you can’t control everything.
4. Understand that your main control is over yourself and your reactions.
5. Just focus on what’s next. You don’t have to plan every detail.
To stay focused, I ask the following questions that I learned from one of my mentors, Joshua Shafran. He says you should always ask yourself:
“What’s working? What’s missing? What’s next? This keeps you evaluating your results and ready to make corrections and adjustments as necessary.
Do you think this approach makes sense?
Let me know your comments.
